Chow is situated near the Historic Fremont Theater, up the street from the Mission Plaza and shopping district in downtown San Luis Obispo. Our high ceilings and skylights bring natural light into a spacious dining room. Enjoy modern décor, a spectacular bamboo garden installation and subtle displays of antique, folk and retro pieces.

Chefs Justin Gabbert and Alan Hsu created Chow's fresh and clean menu, offering a California interpretation on primarily Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. We shop for produce twice a week at farmers markets. Roast Duck, Braised Short Ribs and Stir Fried Shrimp and Bacon are a few of our signature dishes. Housemade egg noodles, wontons and fresh spring rolls round out a diverse menu with warmth and comfort.

An eclectic wine, beer and sake menu features excellent white and red wine, classic and artisan beer, and enticing cold or hot sake to complement the flavors of Chow’s Asian-inspired menu.
